Career & Workplace Counselling

Make thoughtful career choices while protecting your well-being.

Your work can influence how you see yourself, how you spend your time, and how you feel about your everyday life. Career decisions can also bring uncertainty, especially when you are questioning what you want, where you are headed, or whether your current path still feels right.

At मन Charcha, career and workplace support is a space to step back from the demands of work and reflect on your professional life. You may be navigating a career decision, a new role, workplace relationships, changing responsibilities, or simply trying to understand what you want from your work.

We can explore career choices, professional identity, workplace relationships, boundaries, work-life balance, difficult conversations, confidence at work, job dissatisfaction, and navigating change in your professional life.

Sometimes, the challenge is not knowing what to choose but feeling disconnected from what you actually want. Taking time to reflect can help you understand your priorities, values, strengths, and what feels meaningful to you.

Your work matters, but so does the way you experience your life while doing it.

FAQs

Career and Workplace Support: Frequently Asked Questions

What is career and workplace counselling?

Career and workplace counselling supports you with work-related stress, burnout, difficult colleagues or managers, career confusion and work-life balance. Sessions help you understand what is draining you, set healthier boundaries and make clearer decisions about your professional path.

What are the signs of burnout?

Burnout often shows up as constant exhaustion, feeling detached or cynical about work, reduced performance, irritability, trouble sleeping and dreading the start of the week. It builds slowly, so if you recognise several of these signs, it is worth addressing early with professional support.

Can therapy help me decide whether to change my job or career?

Yes. Therapy will not tell you what to choose, but it helps you explore your values, strengths, fears and the pressures you are under, so that your decision comes from clarity rather than stress. Many people find this makes career choices feel far less overwhelming.

Will my employer know I am attending counselling?

No. Your sessions are private and confidential. Mann Charcha does not contact your employer, and online sessions can be scheduled at times that fit around your work.

How can I manage stress at work day to day?

Helpful habits include taking short breaks, prioritising a few important tasks each day, saying no when your workload is full, keeping work out of your sleep time and noticing early signs of stress in your body. Counselling can help you build these habits and deal with deeper causes of work stress.
