Relationship & Interpersonal Support

Understand each other better, communicate with greater ease, and create healthier connections.

Relationships can bring connection, comfort, and meaning, but they can also become difficult to navigate. Misunderstandings, recurring disagreements, emotional distance, or difficulty expressing what you need can leave you feeling frustrated, unheard, or disconnected.

At मन Charcha, relationship and interpersonal support helps you better understand the ways you communicate, connect, respond, and relate to others. It can be a space to reflect on your needs, expectations, boundaries, and the patterns that may be shaping your relationships.

Whether you are navigating communication difficulties, family or partner relationships, friendship concerns, trust, people-pleasing, emotional boundaries, or difficulty expressing yourself, we can work towards clearer communication and healthier ways of relating.

The goal is not to create relationships without differences or disagreements. It is to help you approach them with greater understanding, self-awareness, respect, and clarity.

Because healthier relationships often begin with understanding how we connect, communicate, and care for ourselves and others.

FAQs

Relationship & Interpersonal Support: Frequently Asked Questions

What is relationship counselling?

Relationship counselling helps you understand and improve the way you connect with others, whether a partner, family member, friend or colleague. Sessions focus on communication, recurring conflicts, trust, boundaries and emotional needs, so that relationships feel safer and more respectful for everyone involved.

Can I attend relationship counselling alone?

Yes. Many people start on their own. Working individually on how you communicate, set boundaries and respond to conflict often changes the relationship itself. If both partners or family members are willing, joint sessions can also be arranged.

What relationship problems can counselling help with?

Counselling can help with frequent arguments, poor communication, trust issues, emotional distance, jealousy, family conflict, difficulties after a breakup, people-pleasing and trouble setting boundaries. It also supports you in recognising unhealthy patterns and deciding what you want from your relationships.

Is what I share about my partner or family kept confidential?

Yes. Everything discussed in your sessions is confidential and is not shared with your partner, family or anyone else without your consent. The only exception is if there is a serious risk to your safety or someone else's, which your psychologist will explain at the start.

How long does relationship counselling take?

Many people notice better communication within 6 to 10 sessions, though this varies with how long the difficulties have existed and how many people are involved. Your psychologist will set clear goals with you and review progress along the way.
