Life Transition & Adjustment Support

Find your footing, reconnect with yourself, and move forward with confidence.

Life does not always move in a straight line. Changes in relationships, family, work, responsibilities, identity, or personal circumstances can leave you feeling uncertain about what comes next. Even changes we choose for ourselves can take time to adjust to.

At मन Charcha, life transition support offers space to slow down and understand what this new phase means for you. You can explore the emotions, questions, expectations, and changes that come with moving from one chapter of life to another.

Transitions can bring mixed feelings. You may feel hopeful and uncertain at the same time, miss what was familiar, question your choices, or feel unsure about who you are becoming. These experiences can be difficult to navigate when there is an expectation to simply “move on.”

Support during this time can help you process change, understand your needs, rebuild confidence, and find greater clarity about what feels right for you.

Whether you are adjusting to a change in your relationships, family, education, career, responsibilities, or simply going through a period of personal change, you do not have to have the next step figured out immediately.

FAQs

Life Transition & Adjustment Support: Frequently Asked Questions

What is life transition counselling?

Life transition counselling supports you through big changes such as moving cities, marriage, becoming a parent, a breakup or divorce, job loss, retirement, illness or the loss of a loved one. It gives you space to process mixed emotions and adjust to a new chapter at your own pace.

Is it normal to struggle with positive changes like marriage or a new job?

Yes, completely. Even happy changes bring uncertainty, new responsibilities and the loss of old routines. Feeling anxious, low or unsettled during a positive transition is common, and talking it through can help you adjust more smoothly.

Can counselling help with grief and loss?

Yes. Grief counselling offers a safe space to talk about the person or situation you have lost, understand your feelings and find ways to carry the loss while continuing with life. There is no right way or timeline to grieve, and a psychologist will move at your pace.

How long does it take to adjust to a major life change?

There is no fixed timeline. Many people begin to feel settled within a few months, while bigger losses or multiple changes can take longer. Counselling cannot rush the process, but it can make it feel less lonely and help you find your footing sooner.

When should I seek help during a life transition?

Consider reaching out if the change is affecting your sleep, appetite, relationships or work for more than a few weeks, if you feel stuck or hopeless, or if you simply want support to make sense of what is happening. You do not have to wait until things feel unbearable.
